We provide public reports about the number and type of complaints received in a de-identified format.

Why we collect your personal information
We collect personal information to collate data of those reporting complaints about the toll road industry, including the toll road operator and the relevant governments. Personal information helps us provide accurate and detailed reports to inform stakeholders of the most pertinent and impactful issues.

Tolling Customer Ombudsman facilitates your complaint reporting, which means your personal information will be sent on to a Transurban executive and another party or parties at your direction.

What we do with your personal information
Part of this service is reporting your complaint to a Transurban executive and at least one other party. This means your personal information will be disclosed to the party/parties you choose. An email will be generated and sent to the Transurban executive and party/parties you choose, using the personal information you provide.

We provide live statistics on our website of complaint reports sent through. This includes a breakdown of how many complaint reports each party has received and how many complaint reports per state have been sent. Proper reports of the data collected will also be produced in a de-identified way, meaning your name, email address, phone number and banking details will not be disclosed in these reports.

We will only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for one or more of our functions or activities.
